Nonna’s (Grandma’s) was always the favourite place to visit for most of us, while growing up, and even now too. Grandma’s was the place where we spent the holidays, got to meet all the other cousins and where we all had the tastiest food – to eat till your hearts content and then more! Last night, on a whim, with not much options in the area, we settled on dinner at LIMA Tapas Bar at Monte Casino. What started off as a hobby, in 2007, has now grown into one of the most popular stalls at the organic market. I sat down and chatted to Harshada and Chai (when he was able to get away from the busy stall) about how it all started out.

On my last visit to Durban, my mum and I decided to tried out the popular roadside café – Chateau Gateaux Patisserie. Situated on Problem Mkhize Road (formerly Cowey Road), this Parisian styled roadside café exudes European charm. Seating is available on the street side as well as the inside of the café. Durban has the best winters, so without hesitiation we opted for a table by the pavement. Chateau Gateaux has the simple concept of placing your order at the counter, the waiter will then bring the order to you.
